SPEAKER_00: For a moment neither spoke.

SPEAKER_00: Tiny ninja looked toward the forest beyond the sanctuary walls.
SPEAKER_00: I keep feeling something.
SPEAKER_00: Akari glanced at him.
SPEAKER_00: The ember?
SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja shook his head slowly.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: Pressure.
SPEAKER_00: Akari's expression suddenly changed.
SPEAKER_00: You feel it too?
SPEAKER_00: Tiny Ninja turned toward her.
SPEAKER_00: You knew?
SPEAKER_00: Akari looked toward the dark tree line.
SPEAKER_00: The sanctuary doesn't just hide us, it warns us.
SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja closed his eyes again.
SPEAKER_00: The amber pulsed, and suddenly he saw flashes, red lights moving through darkness, dominion drones, scanner pulses, mechanical eyes searching through the forest.

SPEAKER_00: Tall, motionless, watching.
SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja's eyes snapped open, breathing heavier now.
SPEAKER_00: Akari immediately noticed what did you see?
SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja stood slowly.
SPEAKER_00: Something's coming.
SPEAKER_00: Below them, Kairo stood in the center of the sanctuary, waiting, as if he already knew.
SPEAKER_00: Ashara noticed immediately.
SPEAKER_00: That's never a good sign.
SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja and Akari approached.
SPEAKER_00: Cairo looked toward the forest.
SPEAKER_00: The sanctuary has been detected.
SPEAKER_00: The rebellion fell silent.
SPEAKER_00: Ashara crossed her arms tightly.
SPEAKER_00: How close?
SPEAKER_00: Kairo answered calmly.
SPEAKER_00: Closer than they have ever been.
SPEAKER_00: The rebellion quickly gathered, voices rose.
SPEAKER_00: We should leave now.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: We defend it.
SPEAKER_00: If they find this place it's over.
SPEAKER_00: Akari stepped forward sharply.
SPEAKER_00: This sanctuary survived because people protected it.
SPEAKER_00: Ashara fired back.
SPEAKER_00: And those people are dead.
SPEAKER_00: Silence.
SPEAKER_00: The words landed harder than intended.
SPEAKER_00: Akari looked away briefly.

SPEAKER_00: Tani Ninja looked around the sanctuary.

SPEAKER_00: Akari watched him carefully now.

SPEAKER_00: Later that night, Akari brought Tiny Ninja deeper into the sanctuary, past the visible ruins, past the water channels, into an underground chamber lit entirely by glowing ember crystals.
SPEAKER_00: Tiny ninja stared in awe.
SPEAKER_00: What is this place?
SPEAKER_00: Akari answered quietly, the heart of the sanctuary.
SPEAKER_00: Symbols covered the walls, ancient, alive even.
SPEAKER_00: Tiny ninja could feel the ember reacting immediately, stronger than ever before.
SPEAKER_00: Mkari turned toward him.
SPEAKER_00: You've learned awareness, Tana Ninja nodded.
SPEAKER_00: You've learned to balance, another nod.
SPEAKER_00: Akari stepped closer.

SPEAKER_00: Tiny ninja frowned slightly.

SPEAKER_00: Akari gently touched the ember crystal, embedded in the chamber floor.

SPEAKER_00: Tiny Ninja looked at her carefully.

SPEAKER_00: Akari met his gaze.

SPEAKER_00: Akari stepped closer.

SPEAKER_00: Akari shook her head gently.
